With this pool design the homeowner wanted an area for family fun and an entertaining space that had great aesthetic appeal. Laurie Jacobson, designer for Elite Pools, met these requests through the pool’s size, the amenity that the pool provides and the sympathetic cohesion between hard and soft landscaping.

This particular design is 12m x 5m and is fully tiled in black gloss tiles. To maximise the use of avaliable space the pool was placed in the north west corner of the property integrating with an exisitng outdoor/alfresco entertainment area, leaving two thirds of the backyard for leisure entertaining when the pool is not in use.

What makes this pool really stand out is the total integration of colour, materials and surrounding landscaping, with the overall design creating a great entertaining space for special occasions.

The pool was also designed with water saving features in mind. There is a 120,000 litre underground water tank that collects water off the house as well as a cartridge filter and a heat saver liquid blanket to minimise evaporation. As for enery saving the features include solar heating, the liquid pool blanket cover and low speed pumps.

The landscaping was designed by Imagine Living Landscapes and the construction was completed by Grant Bratby. The bluestone paving, garden lighting and Manchurian Pear plants complete the stylish feel of the backyard. The specifically designed urn is also a stunning feature at the head of the pool.
